DONATIONS WILL HELP ENCLOSE
CULLEN JONES AQUATIC CENTER POOL

Residents and businesses in Irvington are urged to consider a donation to help enclose the swimming pool at the Cullen Jones Aquatic Center so the pool can be used year-round.
According to Irvington Chamber past president Michael Roesch, who is spearheading the effort and spends about two days per week volunteering his time to teach kids about swimmig and water safety, the goal is to enclose the pool with a permanent steel building so that all ages, from children to seniors, can enjoy health and fitness programs regardless of the weather.
To that end, Ed O'Gorman, also a Chamber past president and founder of O'Gorman Motors, donated $30,000 on September 10 towards the campaign.
"I think everybody should try to give a little bit from what they can afford and we're asking all the people of the Irvington community and the corporate community to partner with us to make this possible," O'Gorman said. Information about the pool project is available at www.ogormanmotors.com.
Donors can call the Chamber at (973) 676-8725 to contribute.
